Welcome to Soggy Bottom Retrievers, located in East Texas on the outskirts of the town called Huntington.  We are located 10 miles South of Lufkin, 180 miles southeast of Dallas, and 120 miles northeast of Houston.  We raise, compete and breed Labrador Retrievers and strive to produce quality puppies that will excel in hunting homes as well as pet homes.  All our breeding dogs have their health clearances with OFA on Hips/Elbows/Eyes and are tested for EIC, CNM, PRA, DM, HNPK, RD/OSD, D Locus, Patellas, Detention, and Cardiac to make sure that you will never end up with an "affected" puppy.  Our dogs are family here and enjoy every day running, playing and training on our acreage and in the pond or pool.  Puppies are whelped in our home and we take great care and pride when raising them. They are introduced at a young age to water (weather permitting), birds and gunshot.  We only breed the 3 AKC recognized colors of Yellow/Black/Chocolate and do not breed or condone the breeding of dilute colors such as Champagne, Charcoal, or Silver.
